Aquatinting Workshop
Instructor: Julie VandenBerg
Learn to add deep, rich blacks, and also mid-range values, to your etchings.

1-day workshop
Sunday, February 6, 12pm to 6pm
$60, includes materials.

Basic Etching Weekend Workshop
Instructor: Julie VandenBerg
Learn to etch from the ground up. This class is the foundation for other printmaking classes. Learn plate preparation, studio etiquette, design transfer, dry-point, soft-ground, hard-ground, inking the plate, press use and more.
January 22 and 23, 10am to 6pm
$160, includes most materials.


Guided Printmaking Projects
w/ Julie VandenBerg
Do you have some printmaking experience, but need a little guidance through specific steps? This is a workshop for printmakers who want to start a project applying prior class experience. An instructor will be present to walk you through the processes and oversee projects. Studio use and ink included in class fee. Paper and copper sold separately. Sign up for one or several sessions.

$10 per hour
Sundays, 1 to 6pm

NEW Lino-Cut Class
w/ Julie VandenBerg
We will carve and print a single linoleum block for our first round and then we will work on a reductive lino-cut, in which we carve one layer and print it, and then continue carving and adding laysers of color reductively until the image is complete.

4 Sundays: February 13 - March 6, 2011, 11am - 3pm
$160 includes most materials.


Open Studio
w/ Julie VandenBerg (Instruction not included).
Come work in the Proof studio independently and apply all the techniques you learned in class! Or if you are an experienced printmaker, use the studio for printmaking projects. Use of studio equipment, ink and acid provided. Please bring your own paper, gloves, shop towels and apron.
$5 per hour
Sundays 3 to 8pm, except when class times conflict.
Wednesdays, 11am to 3pm.
Thursdays, 12pm - 4pm with Kathleen Stewart.
Saturdays, 2pm - 6pm with Suzy Birster Hudson.


Photo-Etching Class
w/ Suzy Birster Hudson
Learn how to etch copper plates using your own photographs. Steps include using Photoshop, plate prep, exposing and developing, etching, aquatinting and finally printing. Prior printmaking experience highly recommended.

4 sessions, $160, includes most materials
